Juanita Trigo Cambre, 81, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, died Wednesday, 27 Sep 2000, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She was a native of New Orleans. Interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery, Prairieville, LA on Saturday, 30 Sep 2000. Survived by her husband, Vincent T. Cambre Sr.; two daughters, Juanita C. McDonald and Margaret Cambre, both of Baton Rouge; four sons, Vincent T. Cambre Jr., Slaughter, James G. Cambre, Baker, Paul C. Cambre, Denham Springs, and Edward J. Cambre, Zachary; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Cline; and parents, Manuel and Regina Trigo.

LAPLACE - Shirley L. Cambre, 72, a native of St. James Parish and resident of Garyville, died Jan. 30. She was the wife of the late Edward "Poney" Cambre and mother of Steven "Poney" Sr.She was also the sister of Dorothy Trosclair, Elise Melancon, Beverly Tassin, Linda Ordoyne and Ray, Betty and Vera LaBauve.
She is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Feb. 2 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
Served aboard USS Indianapolis during WWII.
