The following email from Al Trecost on 2/22/2004:My mother was Estelle Perilloux Trecost, my grandfather was
Louis Francis Perilloux, and my great-grandfather was Louis Edgar
Perilloux. My problem is my great-great-grandfathers first and second name.
The Perilloux Genealogy list him as Eugene Edgard, birth 11 March 1841
Lions, La. The 1880 U.S. Census list him as Joseph E. E. About 8 or 9 years
ago I sent Cousin Charles a list my mother put together. It list him as
Edgar Albert and has also been added to the Perilloux Family Genealogy. It
should be noted that my mother list his first wife as Brindell, this list
was put together by word-of-mouth, it should be Burnell. His second wife,
Minerva C. Wixon (Wixson), list him as E. A. Perilloux on her Confederate
Pension Application for Widow's. We now have tow genealogy's for the same
person, Eugene Edgard and Edgar Albert are the same person. I feel this
should be changed to one, but which one is correct. My great-grandfather
named my great-uncle Edgar Albert. Why, was this to honor his father? Your
thoughts please and thanks for the work you have done.
If I can be of any assistance to you please contact me.Respectfully,
Al Trecost
